In the news this morning, Maine Governor Paul LePage has proposed a bill that would dissolve the Maine Turnpike Authority and close all toll plazas in Maine except for the one in York.  The Governor believes that Maine residents should not have to pay a toll to travel within the state.  Critics worry that the York toll would target out-of-state tourists and that the toll fee would rise from $3 to as high as $10, discouraging vacationers from coming to Maine.
