In the news this morning, President Trump released his proposed budget on Thursday. The 'America First' budget, as the President is calling it, increases defense spending, care for veterans, and homeland security by $59.2 million. Deep cuts can be found in the State Department, the EPA, and the National Institutes of Health--all experiencing cuts in the billions of dollars. Money is also increased for school choice. In spite of everything, the President's proposed budget does not balance the budget. Now Congress will begin debating it.
