In the news this morning, if Congress has its way, Internet providers could sell your information to companies without your permission.  The United States House of Representatives voted yesterday 215 to 205 to overturn a rule from the FCC that requires Internet service providers to ask customers' permission before selling their customers information to advertisers. The FCC passed the rule last October.  Both Senator Collins and Rep. Poliquin voted to overturn the rule, indicating that the FCC rule was inconsistently applied and ineffective.
