In the news this morning, Maine lawmakers in Augusta will work today to resolve the Real ID issue in Maine.  The state is currently not in compliance with the Federal Real ID Act which requires a special identification card to access places like military bases and to board commercial flights.  Currently, a state law in Maine prevents the Real ID Act from being enacted, but that will soon need to change or Mainers will be unable to board a domestic commercial flight using their Maine drivers license beginning in January 2018.
