In the news this morning, Senator Susan Collins announced yesterday that she is considering a run for Maine governor in 2018.  The Caribou native, a Republican, has been in the US Senate for 20 years, and her seniority has allowed her to do a lot in Washington, but she also wants to be where she can do the most good for Maine. In an interview with the Portland Press Herald, Collins noted that she would not make a decision until later this year.  The 64-year-old first ran for Governor in 1994 when Angus King was elected.
