In the news, scientists are able to print skin grafts from a 3-D printer. The current models of these printers are large and slow. Researchers at the University of Toronto have created a handheld 3-D printer that can print custom designed skin grafts in two minutes. One of the researchers said, “our skin printer promises to tailor tissues to specific patients and wound characteristics”.
