In the news this morning, Eric Holder, Jr., the nation's first black U.S. Attorney General, announced yesterday that he will resign his post.  He intends to leave the Justice Department as soon as his successor is confirmed, a process that could run through the end of the year.  Holder is the fourth-longest tenured Attorney General in US history.
